Ram Charan & Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ First Look Revealed

By Binged Bureau - Mar 27, 2021 @ 12:03 pm

On the occasion of South Megastar’s Ram Charan’s 36th birthday, Kondidela productions revealed the first look of their upcoming Telugu film ‘Acharya’ featuring South Filmfare award winner Ram Charan and his Superstar father and veteran performer Chiranjeevi.

The first look reveals a bearded and angry Ram Charan and an equally resilient Chiranjeevi in a village backdrop. Both of them are in an all-black attire and walking purposefully while holding rifle guns. The colour tone and aesthetic quality of the poster imparts a raw, rustic feel to it.

Written and Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya is touted to be an action-drama with a social message. The film’s basic plot is centred around Chiranjeevi’s character, who fights against a savage land mafia and a corrupt Endowment department, which is involved in the misappropriation of temple funds of his village.

Acharya brings the celebrated father-son duo of Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi on-screen for the third time after S.S.Rajamouli’s blockbuster Magadheera and subsequently in the action-comedy Bruce Lee – The Fighter.

The film also casts Pooja Hedge as Ram Charan’s love interest besides the ethereal damsel Kajal Agarwal and the ever-dashing Sonu Sood. There are also rumours of Kannada actor Sudeep being cast as the main antagonist, although nothing has been confirmed by the makers yet.

Acharya’s first look has been revealed just a day after Ram Charan’s fierce look from S.S.Rajamouli’s upcoming and highly anticipated period-action film RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt) was unveiled earlier.

This poster of RRR showed us an intense Ram Charan wearing a long saffron-coloured loincloth and his chiselled physique holding a bow and arrow against a fiery yet exquisite background. An epitome of S.S.Rajamouli’s distinctive sense of aesthetics.

Acharya is Kortala Siva’s fifth Directorial venture after the commercial successes of Bharath Ane Nenu (starring Mahesh Babu), Janatha Garage (starring Mohanlal and NTR Jr.), Srimanthudu (also starring Mahesh Babu) and Mirchi (starring the famed Baahubali pair Prabhas and Anushka Shetty).
