The Warriorr was one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2022. Released on July 14, the film was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu languages. It also marked the Kollywood debut of the leading duo, Ram Pothineni and Krithi Shetty. Also, it was N. Lingusamy’s tenth directional venture. Wait! We almost forgot the most important thing! The movie has locked its OTT release date on Disney+ Hotstar.
The latest Ram Pothineni starrer bagged a pretty strong hype from the fans before its theatrical release. However, the movie failed to take advantage of this situation and performed below par at the box office. The mixed-to-negative critical reception led to its financial doom. Additionally, the film received criticism for its lack of freshness, not-so-good songs, and boring cat-and-mouse chase sequences between Satya (Pothineni) and Guru (Aadhi Pinisetty). Although, viewers praised the performances of the actors.
The Warriorr will arrive on Disney+ Hotstar on August 11, almost a month after its theatrical release.
The film’s plot revolves around Satya, a doctor-turned-police officer, who looks to nab Guru in Madurai (Kurnool in the Telugu version). The former’s serious criminal activities draw Satya’s attention. How a cop catches a criminal in this movie forms the rest of the story.
Srinivasa Chitturi bankrolled The Warriorr under his banner, Srinivasa Silver Screen. On the other hand, Devi Sri Prasad and Sujith Vaassudev handled the film’s music and cinematography departments respectively. It will release on Disney+ Hotstar on August 11. Stay tuned for more updates.
