Jio Studios has announced its latest project starring Ranveer Singh in the lead and directed by National Award winning filmmaker Aditya Dhar.
The yet to titled film which has now begun filming will star (in addition to Singh) a stellar cast including Sanjay Dutt, R. Maadhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal. Though a final name for the film is yet to be decided upon, there have been talks that the film is tentatively called ‘Dhurandhar’ and will be a gangster drama.
While specific details for the untitled film remain to be unveiled, it will be jointly produced by Jyoti Deshpande for Jio studios and Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar for B62 Studios who have earlier collaborated on box office success ‘Article 370’ which was co-written by Dhar.
This new film will be Dhar’s second directorial after the 2019 blockbuster military action film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. He has worked as a writer and producer for various other films like ‘Boond’, ‘Aakrosh’, ‘Kharvas’, ‘Tezz’, ‘Amritsar Junction’ and ‘Indian 2’.
Ranveer Singh was last seen in Karan Johar’s superhit film ‘Rocky Aur Rahi Ki Prem Kahani’ and his upcoming project includes Rohit Shetty’s Ajay Devgn led ‘Singham Again’.
