Amazon Prime Video has dropped the trailer for its upcoming Kannada film ‘Rathnan Prapancha’ and its one hell of a ride. Helmed by Rohit Padaki (‘Dayavittu Gamanisi’, ‘Ashtralle Just Missoo’), ‘Rathnan Prapancha’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 22nd October, 2021.
The trailer begins with Rathnakar (Dhananjay), a young unmarried middle class man living with his mother with whom he shares a unique bittersweet relationship. While things are not pretty in his life but it is going on as usual until a girl enters his life and turns his life upside down, quite literally!
Together they set out on a journey to find someone and in the beginning of it all loose all their luggage, bag, mobiles and wallets. The trouble doesn’t end there though. The mission they are on is full of more than one dangerous person, something they hadn’t given much thought to.
And as Rathnakar says toward the end of the trailer, this is just a sample of his vast wonderful world. His mother Saroja (Umashree), Mayuri (Reba Monica John), Tabassum (Anu Prabhakar), Ahmed Ali (Ravishankar), Yellava (Shruthi Krishna), Udaal Babu Rao (Pramod), Bassappa (Achyuth Kumar) and Benni (Vainidhi Jagadeesh) are all part of his adventurous world where his and Tabassum’s mother have been exchanged!
The trailer for ‘Rathnan Prapancha’ is quirky, thrilling and makes you want to know what happens next. It gives a peek into the weirdly wired world of a middle class fellow Rathnakar who doesn’t seem to get anything right in his life whether it’s his job, love, family or even his day to day life. Will he be able to sort things out or will it get more complicated?
‘Rathnan Prapancha’ has been shot on locations like Bengaluru, Mysore, Kashmir and Haveri and stars Dhananjay, Reba Monica John making her Kannada debut, Umashree, Panju, Ravishankar Gowda and Vainidhi Jagadish among others.
Rohit Padaki has written and directed ‘Rathnan Prapancha’ that is produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj under the KRG Studios banner. The film marks the production debut of Karthik Gowda.
