Another Day, another news and another Akshay Kumar movie. For the last year or so, it feels like Akshay Kumar is running the entire Bollywood in terms of business. I mean, wherever you look, you’ll see something or other about an upcoming Akshay Kumar movie, be it Sooryavanshi, be it Bell Bottom, be Prithviraj or be it Ram Setu. And to join the lot, we hear that Kumar bagged yet another project teaming up with his Bell Bottom director Ranjit Tiwari again.
Just now we have learnt that Akshay Kumar is going to join hands with Tiwari and producer Vashu Bhagnani for the remake of 2018 Tamil psychological crime thriller film Ratsasan. Those who are familiar with the film, know that Rastasan is one of the few critically and commercially successful films released in 2018.
For those who are not familiar with the Tamil thriller, the film revolves around an aspiring film director Arun Kumar, played by Vishnu Vishal who becomes a police officer after his father’s untimely death to track down a serial killer. Now, this will be another cop thriller for Akshay Kumar who is waiting for the release of another cop drama Sooryavanshi.
And now, to join Kumar, we hear that Rakul Preet Singh will be the female lead of the Hindi remake of Ratsasan. She is currently occupied with quite a lot of projects such as Thank God, Mayday, Chhatriwali, and Doctor G. On the other hand, Kumar will rope himself in for the remake after he is done with Raksha Bandhan and OMG 2 along with his other commitments.
Therefore, it’s safe to say that it’s going to be an extremely busy couple of years for Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet as they go on to decode the motive of the serial killer for the remake of Ratsasan.
