Reacher Season 3 has received a major filming update from the leading man, Alan Ritchson, who plays the former U.S. Army military police major, Jack Reacher, in the show. Taking inspiration from Lee Child’s novels, the Prime Video series revolves around Ritchson’s Reacher, as he works with new and old teammates every season to investigate conspiracies and eradicate his enemies.
In December 2023, Alan Ritchson revealed that filming for Reacher Season 3 had commenced. It will be based on Persuader, Lee Child’s seventh Jack Reacher novel.
In his recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ritchson gave a major filming update about Season 3. “We’re nearing completion of season 3,” he said.
Based on Ritchson’s statement, it is possible that Prime Video may drop Reacher Season 3 sooner than expected.
Season 2 premiered on December 15, 2023. So, the third season may arrive on the streaming service in December this year. Or it may arrive earlier than December 2024. It is only a matter of time before Prime Video reveals the exact release window of Reacher Season 3.
Based on Persuader, Reacher Season 3 will see the protagonist infiltrating a criminal organisation to save the life of an undercover agent. Apart from Alan Ritchson, the third season will witness the return of Maria Sten’s Francis Neagley. The character’s return is a deviation from the source material as Neagley is not a part of Persuader. Other new additions to the third season are Sonya Cassidy and Anthony Michael. Stay tuned for more updates.
