Prime Video’s Reacher Season 3 has Anthony Michael Hall as the primary antagonist. He will be seen starring with the series lead, Alan Ritchson. We are yet to receive a release window for Season 3 from Prime Video. But we do know a bit more about Hall’s character in the upcoming season.
Speaking with ScreenRant, Hall gave away some key plot details about Reacher Season 3. He confirmed that the next season would be based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novel, Persuader. Plus, he disclosed his character’s name, Zachary Beck, and hailed him as “a kingpin of drug dealing.” Also, fans will see Reacher saving Beck’s son (played by Johnny Berchtold) from some bad guys in the beginning of Season 3. This will create an interesting bond between Beck’s son and our bulky protagonist, forcing Beck to trust Reacher as well.
“Reacher will be working for him [Beck], but as you know, he’s kind of a double agent. He’s still working with that whole thing. There’s an excellent actor names Brian Tee, who’s also a part of this season. His character steps out of the shadows, and you realise that the two of us are into some dirty dealings.”
The name of Beck’s son is Richard. He will be a college-going student in the series. He will play an important role in Season 3’s storyline. His complicated relationship with his father will get tested as well.
Based on Hall’s comments, Reacher Season 3 seems to be a smaller scale affair compared to Season 2, which featured Jack Reacher’s team alongside him. Despite its success, Season 2 received some criticism for not giving enough focus to Alan Ritchson’s portrayal of Reacher due to the involvement of the 110th MP unit. Adapting Lee Child’s “Persuader” guarantees that Season 3 will put Ritchson’s Reacher front and center.
