Prime Video’s Reacher star Willa Fitzgerald, best known for playing Margrave PD Sergeant, Roscoe Conklin, in Season 1, has discussed the possibility of her character’s return in Season 3. If you loved Fitzgerald’s take on Roscoe in the debut season, then you will not like what the actor said about the possibility of her return to the show.
Fitzgerald recently talked with Screen Rant while promoting her forthcoming psychological thriller Strange Darling. The Reacher star was asked about her potential return to the show after not appearing in Season 2. This is what she said in reply:
“I mean, I don’t know anything about it. Very honestly, I’ve heard nothing, so you’ll have to ask Nick Santora about that. [Laughs] But I’ve watched all of season 2, and I’ll watch season 3. I love what they’re doing over there, I think it’s very fun. I [enjoyed my time with Alan] too, it was a very fun show to shoot. I love Alan.”
We saw a pretty solid romantic connection between Reacher and Roscoe in Season 1. Plus, Malcolm Goodwin’s Oscar Finlay from the first season had a guest role in Season 2. Which is why Fitzgerald’s absence from the sophomore chapter did not make any sense.
The Reacher series has been a hit with both critics and audiences. Fans particularly loved the romantic chemistry between Reacher and Roscoe in the first season. While the show has taken creative liberties with the original books, deviating from the storylines, the show’s popularity suggests that similar changes could work in the future. For instance, Finlay did not appear in “Bad Luck and Trouble”, Lee Child’s eleventh Jack Reacher novel that served as source material for Season 2. But we saw him in the second season of the live-action show. We don’t see why Santora can’t do the same for Roscoe in Season 3. Let’s see what happens. Stream all episodes of Reacher on Prime Video.
