Big-budget Netflix films are suffering from a curse. And our superstition is very solid if we see the chart from 2022 onwards. Which are the big films that come to your mind when you think of big Netflix films? It will be The Gray Men, Heart Of Stone, Extraction 2, although a series but 1899 and now Rebel Moon.
They were promoted greatly and had a high budget. Still, they came out to be nothing more than mere disappointment. Critics panned them and the audience downright rejected them. But why is it happening at such a frequent rate?
Well, it is happening due to the lack of attention to content. It is very very clear that content is on a back seat in films like Rebel Moon and Heart Of Stone. It is a very marketing based film that relies heavily on the buzz instead of how the audience actually wants the film to be.
The same phenomenon is also happening in India. Just consider the case of films like Thar, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga and The Archies. We usually do not get films like Qala that are beautiful and great at the same time.
Anyways, the Hollywood media portals are saying that Rebel Moon showed a big jump in views in the second week. We don’t understand why…
The views had to anyways jump as the second week would record the entire week against just 3 days of the debut week. But, the views of Rebel Moon certainly do not do justice to the magnitude it has, as a film. Period.
