South Korean actor Song Joong Ki needs no introduction. The sensational actor made headlines even in India since his Descendants of the Sun days. The blockbuster show was a pop culture phenomenon since it began streaming on Netflix India. The actor followed his hit streak with Vincenzo soon after. That show also aired on Netflix Korea, India and worldwide simultaneously. Quite expectedly, Song Joong Ki’s newest show ‘Reborn Rich’ also came with a lot of hype.
Reborn Rich started airing from November 18th. Since the Netflix acquisition news of this JTBC show, the actor’s Indian fans and kdrama fanatics expected it to stream on Netflix India as well. But, sadly the show is now only available on Netflix Korea. Fans kept checking Netflix catalogue for their most hyped series to show up, only in vain. This has disappointed India kdrama fans so much. We could see the disappointment on Twitter, where Indian fans have been relentlessly tagging Netflix India to stream Reborn Rich. For now, the show can be watched only in 360P for free in Viu app in India.
Reborn Rich is an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name. It follows the story of Yoon Hyun-woo (played by Song Joong-ki), a loyal employee working for multi-millionaire Sunyang Group. He was betrayed and murdered by Jin Do-joon (also played by Song Joong-ki), the youngest son of the conglomerate. Yoon later wakes up discovering that he has been reincarnated into the body of Jin. How he takes his revenge by taking over Sunyang Group forms the rest of the plot.
Reborn Rich stars Song Joong-ki in the lead alongside Lee Sung-min and Shin Hyun-been in major roles. Written by Kim Tae-hee and Jang Eun-jae, the series is directed by Jung Dae-yoon. Despite relentless requests from kdrama fans, Netflix India has not yet responded to the same. Let us hope the show streams on Netflix India sooner or latter.
