In a move that is sure to warm the hearts of every Disney fan, the beloved streaming service has decided to give its subscribers the delightful opportunity to part with even more of their hard-earned cash. Starting this October, you’ll have the privilege of paying an arm and a leg to continue watching your favorite shows and movies without those pesky ads. Yes, you heard it right – Disney is graciously allowing you to cough up an extra $3 a month for the sheer luxury of ad-free viewing. What a time to be alive!
Announced on a particularly sunny Wednesday night, Disney+ is raising the price of its ad-free option to a staggering $13.99 monthly. And to think, back in the good ol’ days of December 2022, you could bask in the glory of ad-free content for a mere $7.99 a month. Ah, the memories.
But wait, there’s more! In a brilliant stroke of irony, this price hike comes on the heels of Disney’s spring cleaning event in May, where they decided to bid farewell to almost 60 titles from their service. However, the Americans can still enjoy the sweet symphony of advertisements at $7.99 a month.
And if you’re feeling truly extravagant, you can splurge on the Disney+ and Hulu Bundle ad-free plan for a mere $19.99.
This new pricing arrives on October 12. Interestingly, these new pricings are coming when Disney is emerging as the monstrous force that doesn’t pay its lower employees well and is accused of using their face without consent for AI purposes.
