Dhanush is currently enjoying the phenomenal success of Thiruchitrambalam. The romantic comedy film and the dance scenes are the new obsession of the youth all across the nation. Even his insanely powerful cameo in Netflix’s The Gray Man was appreciated.
But now is the time for his upcoming bilingual film SIR or Vaathi. The film was announced last year and now the makers have announced the release date. The film is shot in both Tamil and Telugu which is a first-time experience for Dhanush. The actor also took training in his Telugu for bringing perfection in dialogues.
For the unversed, the film is called SIR in Telugu and Vaathi in Tamil. It reminds us of Dhanush’s own Atrangi Re which was originally released in Hindi but called Galatta Kalyanam in Tamil.
Regardless, the film will be released on 2nd December 2022 so the fans of the superstar have to wait for less than 3 months before they can see him in the role of a teacher.
Apart from Dhanush, Vaathi will star Samyuktha Menon.
The film is directed by Venky Atluri who is known for his Telugu films.
It will be a treat for the fans of Dhanush to see him in a Telugu movie. It will definitely help him expand his fanbase in the Telugu-speaking region just like Raanjhanaa did in the Hindi-speaking belts.
