We had earlier informed our readers about Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s ‘Anbarivu’ going straight to digital. The much-awaited film decided to skip theatrical release and release exclusively on OTT, on Disney Plus Hotstar. This morning, Disney Plus Hotstar has revealed the release date for Anbarivu, along with its first trailer. Anbarivu will release on Disney Plus Hotstar on 7th January, bringing a refreshing start to the new year!
The trailer for Anbarivu gives us ample hint of the premise of the film. Adhi plays a dual role in the film – that of twins Anbu and Arivu. The twins have been brought up in two diverse worlds – one filled with blood and revenge, the other brimming with peace and wisdom. Circumstances force the two brothers to switch their worlds. But will the two be able to survive the challenges of their new worlds?
The trailer of Anbarivu promises a full-on entertainer, brimming with action, thrill, emotion, drama, humour, family love and high-octane stunts. Going by the 2-minute long trailer, viewers are in for an exciting watch on Disney Plus Hotstar, come 7th January.
Anbarivu is Hiphop Tamizha Adhi‘s next film after the well-received Sivakumarin Sabadham. Debutant director Aswin Raam has written and directed the film, while Pon Parthiban is the co-writer. Top Tamil production house Sathya Jyothi Films has bankrolled Anbarivu.
Besides Adhi playing a double role in the film, Anbarivu also has an interesting ensemble cast, comprising Napolean, Vidaarth, Kashmira Pardeshi, Shivani Rajashekar (Rajashekar’s daughter), Saikumar, Asha Sharath and Dheena. The makers have touted Anbarivu as a unique family drama of three generations of men of a family living together under one roof in Madurai. Napolean plays the grandfather of Adhi’s character, while Saikumar plays his father.
