Binged exclusively reported on the day of release that digital rights of ‘The Teacher’ are with Netflix India. The streaming giant has confirmed that the film will stream on Netflix India from 23rd December. The digital release of the film is comparatively early and hardly within 20 days of release. This could be due to the film’s underperformance at the theatres.
The Teacher is a revenge drama and it follows the story of a school teacher whose life turns upside down after a sexual assault. A private video of hers surfaces, making things harder for her. Amala Paul plays the titular protagonist, a teacher who avenges her perpetrators. Who are her perpetrators? And how she extracts her revenge forms The crux of the movie.
