A new live-action adaptation on the popular ‘One-Punch Man’ is now in the works. It was announced in 2020 that the popular web-comic will have a live action movie soon. Justin Lin will be directing the movie. Justin Lin has previously made multiple movies from the Fast & Furious franchise, and other films like ‘Shopping for Fangs’, ‘Star Trek Beyond’ and ‘Finishing the Game’.
The screenplay of the movie had been written earlier by screenwriters Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner but then some corrections were needed for it, so the makers decided that it should be rewritten. Dan Harmon and Anne Campbell are signed to rewrite the screenplay for the movie.
Harmon and Campbell are known for his wonderful work in Rick and Morty and have made the show popular throughout the world for its unique storytelling and philosophy. There is no doubt that when Harmon and Anne Campbell work on a movie based on a manga, it will be a riot.
‘One-Punch Man’ is the story of Saitama, a very powerful superhero who can defeat anybody with a single punch. He gets bored with the lack of challenges and the story goes on. Fans are beyond excited because the project is getting more excited day by day. It will be the live action adaptation of a manga, directed by an action film director with a script written by adult cartoon writers.
