Yesterday was a big event for the entertainment industry. It was solely due to the release of the Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer. Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions organized a massive event for the trailer launch and just like the first part’s trailer, there were some mishaps.
The trailer launch event started at 6 PM and the trailer was promised at 9:30 PM. However, there was a delay in the launch just like the first part.
Regardless, there has been an even bigger mess-up this time and we are not talking about the delay. This is about a severe lack of communication between the companies involved in the production of PS2.
If you see the above screenshot then you would realize the trailer of the first part was released on Tips Tamil but PS2’s trailer is hosted by Sun TV.
Mind you that we are talking about the original Tamil trailer only.
It is an internal matter of the production companies and it hardly matters to the end viewer.
But yesterday, both Tips Tamil and Sun TV released the trailer on their respective channels.
And the video on the Tips Tamil channel was taken down by a copyright strike by Sun Network. Yes, it was not through internal communication as it should have been.

This is a serious issue that needs to be tackled otherwise such rifts between involved companies can hamper the whole promotional campaign of the epic film.
