Actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji’s next film ‘Sorgavaasal’ has finally revealed the release date for the film. Marking the feature directorial debut of Sidharth Vishwanath, ‘Sorgavaasal’ is slated for release in cinemas on 29th November, 2024.
While most films unveil the release date much in advance this Tamil action drama seems to be a bit late in doing so. Moreover, it is now set to clash with Siddharth and Ashika Ranganath starrer romance drama ‘Miss You’.
Set in the late 90s inside a prison, ‘Sorgavaasal’ is an action drama that promises to offer a riveting and thrilling cinematic experience. The teaser of the film released earlier is a testament of that, wherein it talks about redemption after suffering and everything philosophical but in the forefront it’s all crime, blood, gore and much more intense things happening with a hint of romance as well.
‘Sorgavaasal’ is penned and helmed by Sidhartha Vishwanath who has earlier worked as Pa. Ranjith’s assistance and is directing his first feature film.
Co-writers for ‘Sorgavaasal’ include Tamizh Prabha and Ashwin Ravichandran. Amongst the technical crew there is Prince Anderson as the cinematographer and Selva RK as the editor. Christo Xavier serves as the music director for the film.
Alongside RJ Balaji, ‘Sorgavaasal’ also stars Selvaraghavan, Natty, Karunaas, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf-U-Dheen, Hakkim Shah, Balaji Sakthivel, Anthonythasan, Ravi Raghavendra, and Samuel Robinson.
RJ Balaji is known for his films like ‘Mookuthi Amman’, ‘Veetla Vishesham’ and many more. His upcoming project includes the untitled and highly anticipated #Suriya45 which he is writing and directing.
As for ‘Sorgavaasal’, the film looks quite promising and is produced by Swipe Right Studios and its post theatrical streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix.
