Prime Video is going through so much drama these days. Firstly, there is this lawsuit against their ad policy and now a whole new drama around their big film Road House. The movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and even Conor McGregor is a big deal but even its own director has abandoned the film.

The remake of the 1989 classic “Road House” has been a subject of intense drama behind the scenes and only due to streaming. Originally set for a traditional theatrical release, when Amazon acquired MGM, naturally there were a lot of changes.
One change was to put Road House into streaming instead of theaters.
Director Doug Liman and producer Joel Silver clashed with Amazon Studios over the film’s release strategy. Despite initial agreements, tensions escalated as Silver advocated for a theatrical premiere, prompting intervention from influential figures like Ari Emanuel. The involvement of Conor McGregor further fueled attention.
The movie “Road House” had a lot of problems during its making. One big issue was with Joel Silver, the producer, who got into trouble because of how he treated people. This made things even worse for the movie. But, they are merely allegations. We should take them with a pinch of salt.
Also, the director, Doug Liman, said he wouldn’t support the movie anymore because he didn’t like how it was being released on Amazon Prime instead of in theatres.
