RRR and Maidaan Clash At The Box Office: Who Has The Upper Hand?

RRR and Maidaan Clash At The Box Office: Who Has The Upper Hand?

2021 will see the release of major films that were slated to come to theatres earlier in 2020 and some that have been preparing to release in 2021. As these movies release, there will be definite clashes in the box office as the makers will definitely opt for dates that are closer to any festival. Most of the dates have already been taken, some even waiting to release in the latter half of the year.

Out of such movies, one much anticipated movie is S. S. Rajamouli’s “RRR”, which stars superstar Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the leads. The movie will also see the debut of Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in the Telugu film industry. The movie has been much awaited as the little teasers of the movie have been released here and there, and also considering the cast and the makers that are involved in the movie, the movie already is an eye catcher.

Inspired by the ‘Motorcycle Diaries’ and portraying the stories of two freedom fighters, RRR is slated to release on October 13th, 2021 in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and other Indian languages. Now, just two days after the release of RRR, another movie will be releasing that stars Ajay Devgn in the lead. “Maidaan” will be coming out in theatres on the 15th of October, which will eventually coincide with the Dussehra weekend.

The story of “Maidaan”, is based on the real life incidents, during the golden period of Indian Football. The movie’s cast includes Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh. Now the question is which one of the two movies will dominate the theatres. Both RRR and Maidaan will have patriotic factors going on. While one focuses on the freedom fighters, the other will portraying it through sports.

RRR is one such movie that people have been impatiently waiting for it to release. Given the grand cast and the makers, people are already expecting big things from it. Also, another factor that gives it a plus point, is that the movie will be released all over India in major languages that people prefer to watch it in. This definitely sounds like a much better plan for the audience.

Another factor for both these movies is that it will be starring Ajay Devgn in major roles. Considering how powerful his acting is, this isn’t going to be some dull roles, but fully packed ones. With so many points that can be put into consideration about both the movies, we can see that RRR might have an upper hand in these. But, again one never knows what appeases the audience and what will come out as a grand success.

Till then, let’s wait and see what advancement these movies make till their releases and hoping both of them will be a treat to eyes.
