With RRR’s grand release in an indefinite postponement period, the legendary helmer SS Rajamouli has commenced working on his next project with superstar Mahesh Babu. Plus, KV Vijayendra Prasad has been roped in for penning down the screenplay for the director’s next mega-budget project.
RRR was all set to be dispatched theatrically on a worldwide scale on January 7 this year. But the recent surge in COVID and Omicron cases forced the makers to pull the plug off from its global release at the very last moment. This entire scenario has left Rajamouli no other alternative except focusing on his next collaboration with Mahesh Babu.
An inside man has revealed that the final editing process, colour correction, and VFX works have been finalised. Some of the scenes have also faced the sword of the censor board. Now, the helmer has free time in abundant quantity to shift his attention to other projects.
According to the latest reports, the duo of Rajamouli and Babu is working on a jungle-based adventure saga, an Indian spin-off version to the iconic Indiana Jones series starring Harrison Ford. Plus, the shoot may take place in the wild jungles of Africa.
Currently, SS Rajamouli is working on some rewrites of the screenplay. If the ongoing COVID situation improves, then the helmer may start the production work in the second half of this year with Mahesh Babu in the lead. Stay tuned for more updates.
