MX Player today launched the trailer of its upcoming series, “Runaway Lugaai”, along with revealing its release date. The show is all set to premiere on MX Player on 18th May! The show has been directed by well-known director Avinash Das, and written by Abir Sen Gupta. Avinash Das has earlier directed the film, “Anaarkali Of Aarah”, and the Netflix series, “She”.
The 2-minute-long trailer of Runaway Lugaai brims with kickass moments and laugh-out-loud scenes. The Runaway Lugaai in the show is Bulbul, played by Ruhi Singh. Naveen Kasturia plays Rajnikant Sinha, who’s always lived under the thumb of his father, MLA Narendra Sinha. His marriage to Bulbul is the best thing to have happened to him. However, his joy is shortlived, when Bulbul runs away to follow her passion. If one were to go by the trailer, the story of Runaway Lugaai gives major “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” vibes, besides tons of comic scenes interspersed in the tale.
We’ll know better the mystery surrounding Bulbul’s running away, once Runaway Lugaai drops on MX Player. Besides Ruhi Singh and Naveen Kasturia, there’s Sanjay Mishra playing Rajnikant’s father, the MLA. Ravi Kishan, Aarya Babbar, Pankaj Jha and Chittaranjan Tripathi also have pivotal roles in the series.
