It seems like the on-screen Gladiator, Russell Crowe has gold in both hands these days. The actor is already a part of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder. He has a cameo appearance in this one as the king of Olympians, Zeus. Now, he is ready to star in Sony’s forthcoming Kraven the Hunter project with Aaron Taylor-Johnson playing the titular superhero character. However, it is not yet confirmed by the makers which character he will don in the upcoming Spider-Man spin-off movie.
According to some latest reports, the production work of the Kraven movie is underway. And the casting of Crowe in this one proves that this is not just a rumour. Various reports have stated that some scenes of the film will be shot in the UK from February to March.
Sony’s Spider-Man franchise already had Venom and its sequel in its pockets with Tom Hardy as the lead. Plus, Jared Leto’s Morbius is also ready to hit the theatres on the first day of April this year. This scenario indicates that the Kraven movie will become the third spin-off franchise in the SSU.
Apart from all the superhero films mentioned above, Crowe was also a part of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel (2013). He played Jor-El, the father of Superman (Kal-El), in that movie.
Triple Frontier’s fame, J. C. Chandor, will handle the direction of the forthcoming Kraven the Hunter movie. It will come out on January 13, 2023.
