Russo Brothers and Chris Evans are joining hands again and coming up with The Gray Man. The other lead starring in it is Ryan Gosling. Ryan, Chris and the Russo Brothers, the combination already sounds epic. The Gray Man will be coming on Netflix and as per the reports are to be believed it could be an entirely different universe built around the movie. The plans are somewhat similar according to the Russo brothers.
They have also mentioned that there will be some similarities of the movie to that of their earlier one from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”. Similarities on the fact that it will be based around a global spy network and also CIA. The movie is still under works as the pandemic has pushed down a lot of their shootings behind, as it was supposed to be shot in various locations around the world.
The movie will be a spy thriller movie and the basic story revolves around Ryan Gosling’s character who is an ex CIA operative, freelancer and also an assassin who goes by the name of Gray Man. He, on the other hand, is being chased down by another ex-CIA co-worker Lloyd Hansen, who will be portrayed by Chris Evans. Talking about the characters, Russo Brothers said that people should expect a completely different person and not watch this movie with the image of righteous Captain America for Chris Evans. People might be actually shocked to see a bit of antagonistic feature in his character. Which in our opinion, this seems like a good idea, as we have only witnessed Chris Evans as the very righteous Captain America and also the chocolate boy charm from his early rom-com era.
Russo Brothers also addressed the question of how this will be in terms of cinematic universe. They said that they will take a different approach for the movie, as though they finish the movie with proper ending, they won’t answer all the questions that will most certainly have while watching the movie.
Also, it is very unsure as to if Evans and Gosling will come back again directly in the second film, as this will be more of a cinematic universe than a sequel.
