Saif Ali Khan-Arjun Kapoor Shine In The Freaky, Fun “Bhoot Police” Trailer!

Disney+ Hotstar has been picking up quite a few movies for its “Hotstar Multiplex” segment. Though most might not have done enough to woo the viewers, the streaming platform isn’t losing hope yet. Disney+ Hotstar has quite a slate ahead and all of them are some promising shows and movies that fans have been waiting for. Out of that is Saif Ali Khan-Arjun Kapoor starrer “Bhoot Police”. Disney+ Hotstar has done quite a bit in hyping up the release of Bhoot Police, as fans were given a glimpse of the characters beforehand with character posters. Now, Hotstar has dropped the trailer of Bhoot Police, and it sure looks freaky and fun at the same time.

As expected from the title “Bhoot Police”, the movie revolves around “Bhoot Police”, meaning people who will be catching ghosts and spirits. The roles are essayed by both Arjun Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. As a band of brothers, both of them who are supposed “tantriks” go around town catching ghosts, performing rituals, helping people, and minting money in the process. While Saif Ali Khan’s character “Vibhooti” is in the business for only money and doesn’t believe an ounce in the stories of ghosts and spirits, Arjun Kapoor’s character “Chiraunji” is a tad bit different. Chiraunji believes he is made a tantric so that he can help people and get rid of ghosts and spirits.

This is where the two come across the gorgeous Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez. While Jacqueline’s “Kanika” doesn’t look like someone who gives a damn and comes off a strong lead, Yami Gautam’s “Maya” looks like this sweet, subtle girl who would take some time to take in things around her. Now, our “tantriks” in the film are invited into the girls’ estate to look into a particularly scary case of “KichKandi”.

This “Kichkandi” is the main scary component of the character and in reality, a “kichkandi” appears in Nepalese folktales as spirits who attach themselves to a certain object and haunt that place. In the movie’s case, it looks like it is the estate. The movie for sure has funny bits, but from the trailer, one can clearly say the scary parts are no less. The main comedy carrier for the movie definitely is Saif Ali Khan and he steals the show already with his jokes. It has been quite some time since Saif Ali Khan donned the comedic avatar. It will be interesting to see how his role highlights the movie, along with the others.

Besides that, the movie has rocking music that adds to the spooky, fun factor of it. The movie is directed by Pavan Kripalani and is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri. Bhoot Police is scheduled to release on the 17th of September on Disney+ Hotstar. This for sure is the comedy horror movie that can take the genre a notch higher in Bollywood.
