As promised, the first lyrical video of ‘Neeye En Thaye‘, the first single from ‘Marakkar: Lion of The Arabian Sea‘ has been released on Saina Music’s official YouTube channel. The under 4-minute video was released barely an hour back and it is already being promoted through various hashtags on multiple social media platforms. While the trailer is not a montage of video shorts, it is still an interesting video to watch. Check it out at the end of this article.
The music video is broken up into a montage of stills, likely from the original music video of the movie. The teaser is filled with a lot of its primary cast including Mohanlal, Arjun Sarja, Suniel Shetty, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Keerthy Suresh, Mukesh, Jay J. Jakkrit and various others. As the name suggests, the lyrical video showed most of the songs lyrics on-screen. The song is a Malayalam classical and is made with the help of “old school” instruments such as the Veena and the Mridangam.
The song was composed and arranged by ‘Marakkar’s’ music director, Ronnie Raphael. The song lyrics were provided by B.K. Hari Narayanan. Hari Shankar and Reshma Raghavendra sang the main duet while Kavitha Sonish, Rejani Paramanandan and Sreedevi worked as their backup. Sounder Rajan played the Veena, while the Ukelele was performed by Sumesh Parmeshwar. Hari Krishnamoorthy worked on three instruments – Ghatam, Mridangam and Ganjira. The song was recorded at RR studios Trivandrum, while it was missed and remastered by Ranjith Vishwanath, RV Studios Qatar.
Marakkar will release in theatres next week, around the globe in multiple languages on December 2nd 2021.
