The rebooted version of the Saints Row game series has been delayed by Volition. It was all set to dispatch in February 2022. The makers announced the postponement of the game’s release today. One of the parent companies of the game, Embracer Group, confirmed that the game couldn’t be released next year.
Saints Row reboot – When will it release?
We do not know how long the gamers will have to wait for the game’s official release. It can be a matter of months or years. According to the recent rumours, the upcoming Volition’s instalment may get launched in 2023. However, it is not confirmed yet.
The company said that they were looking for some much-needed changes in the game. In addition to the Saints Row reboot, Volition has also delayed the release of its other AAA gaming instalments. It means the sophomore edition of Dead Island is likely to get delayed as well.
What do we know about the Saints Row reboot?
Volition announced the complete reboot of the Saints Row game series some time ago. The studio is looking to present a brand new story for its upcoming entry. This time, the Saints group consists of four buddies. Every one of them possesses a unique talent:
Eli – Plans strategies and handles business.
Neenah – One of the best in-game drivers.
Kevin – A smart mouth. He knows how to get out of a tricky situation. Plus, he is a DJ.
Boss – That’s the players’ character. They can adjust his looks. Furthermore, they can set his voice from different voices available in the game.
No prominent characters of previous Saints Row entries will appear in this reboot version. Instead, we will see some new characters emerging at different points of the game’s plot. The more the players try to expand their criminal territories, the more they will witness new characters. After all, they need some henchmen to handle their not-so-important businesses.
What’s the initial response towards the game?
A prominent YouTube channel, Game Informer, recently released the exclusive first look of the Saints Row reboot version. It points out the close bonding between the group’s all four members. They care about each other. And most importantly, they are not as vicious as their predecessors.
The early critical response towards the game is positive. It has received praise for its graphics, gameplay, features, and characters. Only time will tell how well this game performs.
