Salaar fans, watch out! The OTT release of ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ has been announced by Netflix India and Hombale films. This Prabhas-starrer blockbuster that took storm in theaters will be available on Netflix from today (January 20), which is early from the dates predicted by movie enthusiasts. “Salaar: Ceasefire-Part 1” was premiered globally on December 22, 2023 and it features an ensemble cast including Prabhass, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapthi Babu and more.
According to the details provided by Netflix, ‘Salaar: Ceasefire-Part 1’ will be available on its platform in four different languages as of now: Telugu (original), Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. The catch? The Hindi version has not yet been released on OTT. So those who want to watch this action/thriller film in Hindi from your home, patience is key!
This delay might be due to the fact that Hindi movies can only be streamed on OTTs after 8 weeks of theatrical release. There is another take for this situation too: Kantara, an all-time blockbuster in Kannada, streamed on Amazon Prime Video in Kannada, Tamil, Talugu and Malayalam, but the Hindi version streamed on Netflix. There might be a chance for Salaar: Ceasefire-Part 1 too, and both these films are produced by Hombale Films, which is noteworthy.
Directed by the KGF franchise-fame Prashanth Neel, Salaar: Ceasefire-Part 1 is about 2 friends, among whom is a gang leader who lives the promise of his dying friend to take on other criminal gangs. Officially, it’s Netflix and chill for Salaar fans this weekend.
