Salman Khan0 has dumped his lucky charm Eid release date for the auspicious Diwali 2023 release date for his ambitious spy thriller, ‘Tiger 3’. The actor took to his social media to announce the new release date for ‘Tiger 3‘. The film was earlier slated to release on 21st April, 2023, which happens to be Eid.
The ‘Tiger 3’ release date announcement was accompanied with a new poster for the film. The new poster features Salman Khan, with most of his face covered, just an intense eye showing through. The poster is average and nothing great to talk about. Interestingly, ‘Tiger 3’ will also release in Tamil and Telugu, besides the original Hindi version.
Those following the ‘Tiger’ films franchise must know that ‘Tiger 3’ is just a temporary title for the next film in the series. The first film in the Tiger spy films series was ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which released way back in 2012. ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ was the title of the second film in the series, released in 2017. Let’s wait and watch to know what Tiger 3 will ultimately be titled.
The Yash Raj Films movie franchise has changed directors for every film in the series. Ek Tha Tiger was directed by Kabir Khan. Tiger Zinda Hai was helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Now, Tiger 3 will be directed by YRF favourite, Maneesh Sharma (Band Baaja Baaraat, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, & more).
‘Tiger 3’ is an interesting venture for several reasons. First and foremost is the fact that it has an extended cameo from none other than King Khan, aka Shah Rukh Khan. Secondly, edgy actor Emraan Hashmi is on board the film as the primary antagonist, which makes Tiger 3 an infinitely interesting proposition. Katrina Kaif reprises her role from the earlier two Tiger films.
