Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar Vs Mumbai Saga 19th March BO Clash: Who Has The Upper Hand?

By Binged Bureau - Mar 14, 2021 @ 05:03 pm
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar Vs Mumbai Saga 19th March BO Clash: Who Has The Upper Hand?

Bollywood has opened up now. With a year of break and losses due to the pandemic, Bollywood has started regaining itself and the start of it all was with Rajkumarr Rao and Jahnvi Kapoor starrer Roohi. Next week, we will have the first ever Bollywood Clash for this year and this time it is between Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar” and the much anticipated John Abraham led “Mumbai Saga”. Both of the movies releasing on the 19th of March and both with concepts that are loved by the Indian audience, it would be interesting to see who will rule the Box Office.

Since both the movies are something that the fans have concepts and stories that the audiences love, and also with major superstars in both the films let’s see who might have an upper hand when it releases

Star Cast:

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is a movie that has few big names attached to it. One being Parineeti Chopra and the other is Arjun Kapoor, while they lead Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghuvir Yadav and Neena Gupta will be seen in supporting roles. All of them are much loved by their fans but this might not be enough to take on the cast of Mumbai Saga.

Mumbai Saga has an ensemble cast with actors like John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suneil Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prateik Babbar, Rohit Roy, Gulshan Grover, Amol Gupte, Samir Soni and many others. The movie is loaded with the new and the old ones who have always given stellar performances whenever they were on screen. Bringing all of them together can only mean that this will be one hell of a movie for fans of each actor.

Mumbai Saga gets a point from us, in this category.

Crew:

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is directed and written by none other than Dibakar Banerjee, who has had movies that have received critical acclaim and is one of the leading personalities behind the camera in Bollywood. The movie is produced by Yash Raj Films, which is already known to everyone to bring some of the most amazing movies Bollywood has.

That being said, Mumbai Saga is directed by Sanjay Gupta, who has directed movies like Shootout At Lokhandwala, Shootout At Wadala, Musafir, Kaante among others. With a movie like this, it surely looks like Sanjay Gupta is in his element with Mumbai Saga as it somehow has the same vibes and stories like his earlier movies.

With this, both the movies get a point each from us.

Plot:

Both these movies have stories that are being loved by the audience at the moment and surely look like something that they would watch. With Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Bollywood is diving deep into the black comedy genre, which wasn’t explored much earlier in Bollywood. With the recent black comedy “Ludo” creating a lot of buzz, this might work for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar too. The film follows the journey of two completely different people Pinky, who is a “Haryanavi” Police Officer while Sandeep Kaur is someone who works in the corporate world. They are brought together by a certain incident and even before they could figure out, they realize they are stuck with each other.

Mumbai Saga, on the other hand follows the much loved story dons, gangsters, police and people from the underworld. Something that Indians have loved and watched tirelessly. The movie mainly shows how the ever loving “Bombay” of the yesteryears became today’s “Mumbai”. The movie is set in the very significant era of the 1980s-90s, a period where mills and factories shut down and on other hand malls and skyscrapers started rising up. This will definitely bring back a lot of memories for age old Mumbaikars.

Both the stories have something that has captivated audiences for a long time. These definitely look like fans would watch and hence points from us to the both the movies.

Buzz:

Well, the buzz for both the movies has been very high ever since it was announced. Both these movies were supposed to release back in 2020 but due to obvious reasons it was delayed. Ever since Bollywood announced brand new release dates for the movies, fans and audiences are excited to watch them in the theatres. The buzz for both of them has been non-stop and it isn’t stopping anytime soon. But, we feel Mumbai Saga somehow has an upper hand, as after a very long time, so many actors have gathered to share space in the same movie and all of them being very renowned, this has given the movie an edge over the other.

That being said, Mumbai Saga gets one point from us.

As far as our judgement goes it seems like Mumbai Saga has an upper hand, but we can’t be the only one to tell that. In this country we all know, fans are everything and it is upto them to decide which one will they choose or will they go for both. This seems like an exciting showdown but only time and fans can and will help to make one of them the winner.

Which one would you watch? Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar or Mumbai Saga? Or maybe both?
