The teaser for producer Sandeep Singh’s directorial debut film ‘Safed’ is out and it hits you hard with its eerily disturbing scenes. Presented by Anand Pandit and Legend Studios, ‘Safed’ will release soon in theatres.
‘Safed’ teaser begins with how white as a colour signifies a widow and vice versa. What follows are traumatic scenes of a widow home where widows lead a lonely, sad life that’s nothing less than torture. Kaali (Meera Chopra) is the latest entrant in this home. On the other hand is an abused transgender Chaandi (Abhay Verma) whose life is equally troubled. The film is about how the unlikely duo of Kaali and Chaandi find love and solace in one another.
‘Safed’ is directed by Sandeep Singh who has also written the film alongside Rishi Virmani. Singh is well-known for producing films like ‘Ram-Leela’, ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘PM Narendra Modi’, ‘Aligarh’, ‘Sarbjit’, ‘Bhoomi’, ‘Jhund’ and more. ‘Safed’ stars Meera Chopra, Abhay Verma, Barkha Bisht, Jameel Khan and Chhaya Kadam.
Produced by Sandeep Singh and co-produced by Vishal Gurnani, Juhi Parekh Mehta and Zafar Mehdi, ‘Safed’ is the tale of a transgender, an abandoned widow and a love story that hits hard. ‘Safed’ will release soon in theatres.
