The release date of ‘Kathal‘, The upcoming Netflix original film of Sanya Malhotra is finally out now. The film will be coming out on the 19th of May. It is a comedy drama and is directed by Yashovardhan Mishra.
The story and screenplay is written by Yashovardhan along with Ashok Mishra and stars actors like Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Raaj and Anant V. Joshi in the lead roles. It also has actors like Rajpal Yadav, Brijendra Kala and Neha Saraf in other important roles.
The teaser for the movie was released sixonths ago but the release date was not announced. The word kathal translates into jackfruit in English and two jackfruits play a very vital role in the movie. The movie is a satire-like drama which tells the story of a politician who troubles the police department with strange demands of finding his stolen jackfruits. Sanya Malhotra plays Mahima, a police inspector who is investigating the case of the stolen jackfruits. The story resembles that of Azam Khan, a Uttar Pradesh politician who asked tye police to find his lost buffaloes.
The cinematography of the film is handled by Harshvir Oberai and it is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment. It is a parody styled film with theatrical performances. But the dialogues are very well written and Vijay Raaj as the politician and Sanya Malhotra are really good.
