Saswata Chatterjee was last seen in a lead role in the Zee5 series ‘Abar Proloy’. He was recently seen in the epic mythological-dystopian thriller ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in the role of the general of Yashkin. Now, the actor is signed in for a Bangladeshi series. This will be his first Bangladeshi shoe and fans are excited with the news.
The show has been titled ‘Gulmohar’ and will most probably be an action thriller. However, the plot details have not been revealed yet and the makers have kept mum on the subject. Saswata said during a recent interview that he is excited for the new project. Previously his ventures outside the Tollygunge film industry were confined to Hindi movies. Now he is exploring Tamil, Telugu content and making a start with Bangladesh as well.
‘Gulmohar’ is being directed by Syed Ahmed Shawki. Syed Ahmed Shawki is an award winning director who is known for his direction of projects like ‘Taqdeer’, ‘Sincerely Yours, Dhaka’ and ‘Projonmo Talkies’. His Hoichoi show ‘Karagar’ is one of the most highly rated shows on the platform. There is a possibility that ‘Gulmohar’ will also be released on Hoichoi itself.
