Daredevil is a Marvel character on which Netflix created a very successful series. It has three seasons to its credit, and they are highly rated and loved by the fans. Charlie Cox, who played the titular role, is a fan favourite.
To the shock of everyone, Daredevil was canceled by Netflix despite its successful run. The reason was the start of Disney’s own channel. They currently have the rights over the Marvel and didn’t want any Marvel characters to appear on any platform.
What it also meant was the Daredevil, and other Marvels superhero series like Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Luke Cage, and The Defenders were all plugged out abruptly. Sadly, none of them was to be continued on Disney Plus.
The fans of the series, therefore, started an online petition asking for the return of Daredevil. It has gained significant attention. The latest one to join the campaign was Tom Hiddleston who plays the popular Loki character in Marvel movies.
Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Cox were recently seen as part of a Broadway performance, Betrayal. It is during that interaction that the Loki actor chipped in with a small bite asking Daredevil to be brought back.
One wonders what the Marvel folks are Disney would be thinking of this gesture from Tom Hiddleston. Apart from movies, the actor is also a part of a special Disney Plus series based on the character of Loki.
