The Chinese science fiction film ‘The Wandering Earth 2’ will soon be releasing on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from Mandarin, it willbe available to watch in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It is the prequel to the much acclaimed 2019 adventure film ‘The Wandering Earth’. It will premiere on Prime Video on the 18th of October.
The science fiction thriller of an epic scale tells the story of a dystopian future, where the sun is slowly turning to a red giant. As the Sun is burning out, the future of life on Earth is endangered and the scientists have to find out a way that will save Earth from imminent destruction. Many engines are created to artificially propel the earth to a different solar system and secure earthly lives. The mission is almost suicidal and it is a race against time and space.
The movie is a beautifully shot drama that science fiction fans will like very much. The movie is based on the short story of the same name by Liu Cixin and is directed by Frant Gwo. The star cast includes actors like Andy Lau, Wu Jing, Li Xuejian, Sha Yi, Ning Li, Wang Zhi, Zhu Yanmanzi and many others. The performances are wonderful and one of the reasons to watch the movie. If you have not seen the first part of ‘The Wandering Earth’ you might watch it for the better understanding of the second film.
