The Tamil adventure drama ‘Sembi‘ is going to have its digital premiere on the 3rd of February. It will be released on Disney+Hotstar. The platform had acquired the rights for the film long ago and fans were waiting for any announcements regarding the OTT release.
film tells the story of a ten year old girl with the name of Sembi who lives with her grandmother Veerathayi. Veerathayi is an apiarist and they live peacefully in the hills of Kodaikanal. But life does not always go on the same track and a horrible incident changes their lives and they soon get trapped by the police despite being the victims themselves. The film tells the story of 24 other passengers on board a bus with those two.
‘Sembi’ is written and directed by Prabu Solomon and it stars actors like Kovai Sarala, Ashwin Kumar, Lakshmikanthan, Thambi Ramaiah, Nanjil Sampath and others in important roles. Sembi had its theatrical release on the 30th of December and had a pretty good response from audiences. Critics also praised various aspects of the film.
The music of the film is composed by Nivas K. Prasanna and the cinematography is handled by K. Prasanna. The editing on the other hand is done by editor Buvan.
