Set In Pandemic Malayalam Movie ‘Aarkkariyam’ To Drop Trailer Tomorrow

Upcoming Malayalam multistarrer Aarkkariyam which will be releasing next month, is dropping its official trailer tomorrow. Superhit film ‘Premam’ duo – Sai Pallavi and Nivin Pauly alongside Superstar Suresh Gopi will be launching the trailer from their official social media pages tomorrow, at 9 am.

The movie already has a teaser released back in January 22nd. The teaser was announced by South-Indian megastar Kamal Hassan on his official twitter page. The official 30 second video doesn’t give us much information aside from the fact that Aarkkariyam will be set in the backdrop of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic induced lockdown. In the teaser, we are shown a family’s situation when this sudden announcement was made, with many members of the family being unreachable on phone or are in a different place altogether. Check out this announcement tweet (which also has the teaser link) at the end of this article.

Biju Menon, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Sharafudheen, Saiju Kurup and Arya Salim star in this COVID-based film. Arun Janardanan, Rajesh Ravi and Sanu John Varughese all have writing credits for this film while the later among the three, cinematographer Sanu John Varughese is directing the movie, which will also be his directorial debut.

The release date of Aarkkariyam was initially set on February 26th, but due to unannounced reasons the movie postponed its release. It has now been set tentatively on 3rd April 2021, and with the Kerala State Government finally allowing night shows/ second shows in theaters, there is a good chance that it could become the official release date.
