Horror is the most dynamic genre. People get bored too easily thus makers have to constantly dig for ideas. Red Rose may sound romantic but is actually the title of a new Netflix Series by the producer of Sex Education.
If you are unaware then cyber horror is a largely unexplored area. “Unfriended”, a film series has made some attempts in it and the second part of the film was undoubtedly a great success. “Unfriended Dark Web” explores the sinister horror that lies in the trench of the internet.
Similar is the case with Red Rose. It will be an 8 part series revolving around teenagers and their online lives. Life of High School students is infiltrated by the Red Rose app on their smartphones. It demands them to do certain acts and threatens them if they don’t meet them. It has a seemingly supernatural entity that resides in the dark web.
If you remember then it is a little similar to the Blue Whale Game which was infamous for killing many adolescents some 5-6 years ago.
The cast includes Amelia Clarkson, Isis Hainsworth, Ali Khan, Ellis Howard and Ashna Rabheru, Adam Nagaitis, Natalie Gavin and Samuel Anderson in titular roles.
It will be directed by Ramon Salazar, Henry Blake and Lisa Siwe.
