Edward Bluemel known for his roles in works like ‘Sex Education’, ‘Killing Eve’, and most recently in Prime Video’s ‘My Lady Jane’ is the latest to join Netflix’s upcoming Agatha Christie series ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’.
He will be joining BAFTA Rising Star Award winner Mia McKenna-Bruce (‘How to Have Sex’, ‘Persuasion’) who leads the cast of the witty, epic, and fast-paced drama as Bundle, a young, determined sleuth.
‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ is set in England in 1925 where at a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. It will be up to the unlikeliest of sleuths — the fizzingly inquisitive Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent (Bruce) — to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life, cracking wide open the country house mystery.
In addition to Bruce, ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ also stars Helena Bonham Carter (‘One Life’, ‘Nolly’) as Lady Caterham and Martin Freeman (‘The Responder’, ‘Black Panther’) as Battle.
A funny and suspenseful three part series ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ is written by ‘Broadchurch’ creator Chris Chibnall (‘Doctor Who’) and executive produced by Suzanne Mackie (‘The Crown’) and Chris Sussman (‘Good Omens’).
Chris Sweeney (‘The Tourist’, ‘Back To Life’) serves as the director for ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ and also executive produced it alongside Andy Stebbing . Agatha Christie’s great-grandson James Prichard also executive produces through Agatha Christie Limited. Joanna Crow serves as series producer.
Chibnall will also executive produce the series through his company Imaginary Friends. ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ is the first series to go into production with Mackie’s Orchid Pictures banner.
‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ begins filming this summer and will launch globally soon only on Netflix.
