Shadow And Bone is adapted from the Shadow And Bone trilogy and The Six Of Crows Duology written by Leigh Bardugo. They tell the story of Grishaverse. The first season of the series came out on the 23rd of April in 2021. Soon, the show was renewed for a second season.
The series stars actors like Jessie Mei Li, Archie Renaux, Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Ben Barnes, Zoë Wanamaker, Lewis Tan, Patrick Gibson, Anna Leong Brophy and Jack Wolfe. Most actors are reprising their roles in the second season. The music of the show is given by Joseph Trapanese. Various episodes are directed by directors like Bola Ogun, Laura Belsey, Karen Gaviola and Mairzee Almas.
The show tells the story of Alina Starkov, an orphan in a war-torn world. She is a brilliant map maker and one day she gets hold of a tremendous power that has the ability to unite the people of her world and compensate the ruins of the war. But sinister forces start to conspire against her. Many evils powers are hired to kidnap her and she manages to escape. The second season continues the story further and explores the magical world in more detail.
