Shahid Kapoor has been in the news for his various new projects. The man has been on a signing spree recently and seems like the upcoming projects are something everyone needs to keep an eye out for. Out of all the projects, one Shahid Kapoor’s project has been getting immense attention and it is definitely all thanks to the director duo Raj & DK. It was revealed this year that Shahid Kapoor will be making his digital debut with an Amazon Prime Video series, which will be created by Raj & DK.
Well, if you aren’t aware as to why Raj & DK plays a big part in keeping Shahid Kapoor in the news, it’s because this duo is the people behind Amazon’s mega-hit web series The Family Man. Raj & DK at the moment are the star boys of Amazon, with a mind blowing show like The Family Man, they were sure the duo will be bringing even more to the platform with the new content. Besides that, no one could say no to the cast that Raj & DK presented for the series.
The web series starring Shahid has been titled “Sunny”, where he plays the titular character of Sunny. The shoot for the show has already begun and even recently concluded its first two schedules in Goa. Now, the news is that the Sunny team has moved to Mumbai, to complete their schedule of shoot. Reportedly, a big, bustling market set has been set up in Goregaon’s Film City and Shahid has already started filming in the location. Also, besides that, the team will move to various other parts of Mumbai, to complete the schedule set in Mumbai. Reportedly, they are looking at a 40-day schedule in Mumbai at the moment.
Besides Mumbai, there are reports that the team will move to an international location after the Mumbai schedule is completed and then it will be a wrap for the show. The show has suffered a lot of delays, owing to the ongoing second wave of Covid-19. Now, with the regulations getting eased a bit, the team has been finally able to move ahead with the shoot.
As for the series, it is slated to be an action thriller, filled with the humour that Raj & DK successfully induces in their projects. The project with Shahid Kapoor stars southern hero Vijay Sethupathi and Rashi Khanna, along with actor-director Amole Gupte. While nothing much has been revealed about the project as of now, it is being said that Shahid will be essaying the role of someone who is a person with multiple professions and Rashi Khanna is said to be essaying the role of a bureaucrat. Besides him, Vijay Sethupathi apparently plays the villain in the show and Amole Gupte comes in as someone who has a pivotal role in the series.
