Popular Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor has been roped in as the lead actor for a period action film titled ‘Bull’. Earlier today, the official Twitter handle of T-Series made the announcement that the action-packed film would be inspired by real events and would revolve around the story of India’s brave paratroopers on the battlefield. It was also revealed that the filming of ‘Bull’ would commence in the year 2022.
Set in the 1980s period, ‘Bull’ is reportedly inspired by events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara and Shahid Kapoor would be essaying the role of a paratrooper who leads a team in a historic and iconic mission.
‘Bull’ would mark the directorial debut of Aditya Nimbalkar and this is not the first time he is collaborating with Shahid Kapoor. The talented filmmaker had previously been associated with critically acclaimed films in various capacities including ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Haider’ starring Shahid Kapoor. Besides, he was also a part of some fine films such as ‘Talvar’, and Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial films namely ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ and ‘Pataakha’, amongst others.
Produced by T-Series and Guilty by Association, the film’s story and screenplay will be by Aseem Arora (Lucknow Central, Chhalaang, Bell Bottom) and Parveez Shaikh (Queen, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Phantom). ‘Bull’ would be the second cinematic collaboration of Shahid Kapoor with Bhushan Kumar (T-Series) after the 2019 hit film ‘Kabir Singh’.
Besides the recently announced action film ‘Bull’, Shahid Kapoor’s forthcoming acting projects include Gowtam Tinnanuri’s cricket drama film ‘Jersey’ co-starring Mrunal Thakur, Ali Abbas Zafar’s next directorial which is a remake of the French action thriller film ‘Nuit Blanche’, and Raj & DK’s eagerly anticipated web-series titled ‘Sunny’ co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Raashi Khanna.
