Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj are reported to have collaborated for the third time after the success of Kaminey (2009) and Haider (2014) with a pulsating action-packed thriller. The movie will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. This will be Bharadwaj’s first action thriller with a view of mass audience appeal and a treat for Kapoor’s fans.
Sources say that Shahid will join the sets in September or October of this year and the film will be shot extensively in India and the U.S. The movie at present is untitled and is expected to be released by 2025.
What seems more exciting is how is the way Mr. Bharadwaj is going to conceive the stunt sequences which should captivate the present audience who are well-exposed to the world cinema. The director has already established as a maker himself with brilliant adaptations of both literature and Indian slums. Also making it a big-scale entertainer is not a small but significant task.
Shahid Kapoor has not recently seen power-packed stunts from Hindi movie R. Rajkumar, directed by Prabhu Deva. He has been typically concentrating on his acting caliber. Here, the balance of emotion for fight deliverance is necessary.
The makers of this upcoming movie have promised an A-listed female actor to be brought as opposite to the lead. But that alone won’t do. She should have a well-established backstory like any Vishal Bharadwaj movie has. It should not be away with the scale of stunt sequences.
Hoping the flick to be a wonderful visual treat with unbiased pieces of action pomp.
