Shawn Levy is set to work on his first MCU movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Levy has been tapped to direct Deadpool 3. This will re-unite Levy with Ryan Reynolds for the third time. Ryan Reynolds teased fans on social media on his collaboration with Shawn Levy for Deadpool 3 with an image which shows his character from Free Guy and The Adam Project (both movies where Reynolds has worked with Shawn Levy) alongside Deadpool.

Co-incidentally, or maybe not, The Adam Project – starring Ryan Reynolds and Directed by Shawn Levy – has dropped on Netflix today. Prior to this sci-fi adventure, the duo had come together for 20th Century’s Free Guy.
Deadpool fans have been waiting for the next movie in the franchise since the release of Deadpool 2 in 2018. This is the first Deadpool movie under the involvement of Marvel Studios post their acquisition of 20th Century Fox. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the script for the first two Deadpool movies, are said to be back for the upcoming movie as well.
Earlier, prior to this development breaking, Levy had expressed his desire to put together Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on the big screen. He stopped short of confirming his involvement in any upcoming project (including Deadpool) involving either actors together or individually. Given that Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine in the past, fans are now wondering if we could see a Deadpool – Wolverine combo. Post these comments from Levy, Ryan Reynolds was asked about the prospect of Deadpool and Wolverine together. He clearly supported the idea and said that it would be a dream come true.
Shawn Levy has previously worked with Hugh Jackman in his 2011 release – Real Steel. Hugh Jackman also has a voiceover in Free Guy. Given this association and his comments, do you think we could see Deadpool and Wolverine together?
