After winning the hearts of Indian viewers last year, Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah has gained the most number of nominations at the IIFA 2022. The godfather of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar, confirmed this news via his Twitter account. He also urged the fans to vote for the movie.
Shershaah not only became the most-watched Indian film on Amazon Prime Video last year, but it also breathed new fire into Malhotra’s sinking acting career in Bollywood. With Vikram Batra’s biopic, the actor ended a five-year-long drought of hit movies. Before Shershaah, his last successful project was Shakun Batra’s Kapoor & Sons (2016).
Malhotra has completed his filming schedules for Indra Kumar’s Thank God and Shantanu Bagchi’s Mission Majnu. He is busy finishing the production work of Yodha these days. The forthcoming Dharma product has Sagar Ambre at the helm. On the other hand, Kiara Advani’s upcoming projects are Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Govinda Naam Mera, and RC15.
Shershaah has been nominated in the following categories:
