20th Century and Marvel’s The New Mutants is going to be theatrically released in the United States and other countries, wherever the theatres are open and running.
Critics and film publications are refusing to review the Josh Boone directorial and simultaneously, appealing to boycott it till the time it’s safe to go to a cinema for watching the movie since Disney didn’t provide a safe environment, i.e., socially distanced press screenings or online screening links to the critics. The only option available for the critics to review the Maisie Williams-starrer is to go for public screenings which are still a risk due to the pandemic situation. America’s health experts have given evidence as to why not to attend anything in a theatre yet.
On the contrary, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet has already been reviewed by many of the critics and Tom Cruise tweeted about going for its London screening as well.
A fantasy-horror film, The New Mutants is a superhero genre based on Marvel comics of the same name, probably the last instalment of the X-Men series.
Intended for release in April 2020, it’s going to hit theatres on August 28, 2020.
