Siddharth Anand’s highly anticipated aerial action movie ‘Fighter’ has hit the big screens today. After getting banned in several Gulf countries and subsequently getting suspended in UAE, the movie’s box office prospects are now set to face yet another hurdle.
As per multiple online reports, ‘Fighter’ has sadly fallen prey to online piracy as it has reportedly been leaked online on various illegal sites. Whoever has watched the movie so far, has given a big thumbs-up to the film. We just hope that the stakeholders take prompt steps to remove the film from these sites.
This is not the first time a big Indian theatrical release has been leaked online. Some time back, reports about Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ getting leaked online also came out. Piracy has always been a big challenge for Indian filmmakers as it hampers a film’s box-office performance in a big way. It must be dealt with in a strict manner.
Coming back to ‘Fighter’, the film’s underlying story ostensibly revolves around a young, spontaneous, and ambitious man who must overcome several hurdles after joining the Indian Air Force. Beside Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, ‘Fighter’ also features Deepika Padukone as an Army helicopter pilot Minal Rathore and Anil Kapoor as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh. We hope the movie will overcome all these issues and come out as a box-office winner very soon.
