Shruti Hasaan is a part of the first success of Telugu film industry in 2021 with Krack. She also made her Telugu OTT debut with Nag Ashwin’s X-Life in Pitta Kathalu. She has multiple projects lined up on OTT as well as theaters. Here is what the actress says about both of them in an interview.
“Watching cinema in theaters is an unparalleled experience. Theater Business will never lose its sheen. Having said that OTT has given a new leash of life to a segment of films. We get to access wide variety of subjects on OTT. Then, there is this cinema which may not have performed well in theaters but OTT will give it a second chance. Also, there is content which can not make it to theaters for whatever reason. OTT will shoulder that as well. So, cinema and OTT – both of them will have their own benefits,” Shruti Hassan said in an interview.
While the actress did not mention anything new, it makes lot of sense as always. Cinema and OTT should coexist for that fact that they can offer a wide variety of subjects to the audience which will help the new talent and ideas flourish in the country.
