Siddharth Anand’s “Fighter” Becomes India’s First Ever Aerial Action Movie!

Director Siddharth Anand has been on a roll. With Pathan in the works and the upcoming “Fighter” making headlines, we sure are getting some action-packed movies. Fighter has been on the news ever since it was announced this year. Hrithik Roshan dropped the first look teaser of “Fighter” with an inspiring, patriotic saying from the hero himself. The “Fighter” first look teaser was enough to bring us goosebumps and with the recent news that has come out regarding “Fighter”, we for sure are thrilled for this one.

In a recent interview, Siddharth Anand and Viacom 18 Studios COO, Ajit Andhare revealed some interesting details about the upcoming movie. The makers have some big plans for the movie, as they revealed that “Fighter” will become India’s first-ever aerial-action movie. With that, Siddharth Anand, the director revealed that this is by far one of his most ambitious projects. The same goes for the Viacom 18 Studios team.

The movie, as we all know will bring together Bollywood’s heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and the lady ruling Bollywood now, Deepika Padukone for the first time ever. The pairing itself is quite interesting. We all know Hrithik Roshan has a knack for action movies, and with all his past action movies, we as fans can attest to the fact that he will definitely be amazing. As for Deepika Padukone, she is no less when it comes to action. Bollywood for sure hasn’t seen much of “action-y” side for now, but whatever glimpses, we have had we know she will be amazing. We hope that she gets complete bits of action in this movie.

“Fighter” which will be the debut movie for Siddharth Anand’s production banner “Marflix” has collaborated with Viacom 18 Studios to give the movie the much-needed boost. Anand in the past has directed “War” with Hrithik Roshan, which became one of the biggest action films hits entering the 300 crore club. Along with it, there was “Bang Bang!”, which again was highly successful. As with “Fighter”, the actor will be seen essaying the role of a pilot and someone from the armed forces. This can mean that he will be playing the role of a pilot of the Air force. As for now, details about Deepika Padukone’s character have been kept under wraps.

The movie reportedly is being made on a high budget of Rs. 250 Crores. Given that it will be aerial action, it for sure will need a big budget. Shooting things up in the sky definitely is expensive and with it, if someone adds military, guns, and stuff like that it will definitely go up the scale even more. Plans for “Fighter” at the moment are really high as it has been said that the movie might become a franchise and will be built around its own action universe.

There are a lot of ambitious plans when it comes to movies like this and especially the ones that can help redefine the ways action is seen in Bollywood. Anand is already busy with the much anticipated “Pathan” and it looks like “Fighter” will go on floors by early 2022. Earlier the movie date was revealed to be September 30, 2022 but as for now, there have been no updates or announcements regarding any release date for the movie.

Take a look at the first-look teaser of “Fighter” here:
