Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada– MX Player
This romantic action film features Silambarsan alongside Manjima Mohan and Baba Sehgal. It is the story of a young couple who decide to go on a ride. While driving, they meet with an accident that takes an unexpected turn.
The film was warmly accepted at the local box office and it made AR Rahman win the award for best music director.
Silambarsan’s performance in the film was intense and praiseworthy.
Manmadhan – Disney+Hotstar
This free to stream movie is a romantic thriller in which STR wrote the screenplay himself. It was daring of him to play a character that was extremely haunting.
He played the character of a man who was friendly in the daytime but actually a serial killer.
He hunts girls whom he finds to be morally corrupt. The film is a must-watch if you are an STR fan.
Vaanam – Jio Cinema/Voot
Vaanam has to be an underrated film in STR’s career. This is an action drama that was a remake of the Telugu film Vedam. The film has a large star cast but Silambarsan still manages to shine amidst them.
He plays the character of Thillai Raja who is famous as Cable Raja. The plot of the film gives us some serious 90s vibes but STR’s comic timing and overall fun of the film is too good to ignore.
