Zee5 has dropped the trailer of its upcoming original film ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ and its one intriguing courtroom drama. Helmed by Apoorv Singh Karki, ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ will premiere only on Zee5 on 23rd May, 2023.
Set in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur, ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ trailer begins with PC Solanki (Manoj Bajpayee), an advocate by profession doing his daily morning routine while in background he is heard telling how he has seen many cases in his life, many backtracking from their testimonies but this one particular case was one such complex one which will stretch its course.
Then there’s a young 16 year old girl Nu writing down her statement while her helpless and traumatised parents sit beside her. Nu, a minor, has been assualted by a powerful godman who exercises immense influence and control over his followers. So much so that when he is arrested they outrageously attack the victim’s family.
Inspired by true events, ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ is the story of an ordinary lawyer who sets out to fight an extraordinary case. But can he win against a powerful godman accused of assaulting a minor and deliver justice to the victim?
Directed by Karki and written by Deepak Kingrani, Zee5’s ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ stars Manoj Bajpayee, Kaustav Sinha, Surya Mohan Kulshrestha, Nikhil Pandey, Priyanka Setia, Jaihind Kumar and Durga Sharma.
Produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Vishal Gurnani and Asif Sheikh, ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ reunites Suparn S Varma and Manoj Bajpayee after ‘The Family Man’. Juhi Prakash Mehta serves as the co-producer for the film. Zee Studios and Bhanushali Studios are bankrolling ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ set to premiere only on Zee5 on 23rd May, 2023.
